if you haven't made this trip, your missing out. great ride across the mountains of souteast oklahoma. it was a beautiful day!!

Gone both ways several times! love eastern OK, NW Arkansas and all of southern Missouri for awesome bike roads.

it was really nice. we saw probably close to 100 bikes. only 4 cars all day, and they were all pulled off in the overlooks. road was in great shape, and i only ran over 1 snake!!

i didn't even see it, was looking off the side at a fire. my brother was behind me, saw me run over the snakes tail, he was doing a dance trying to miss it!!

I've ridden it twice. We have higher mountains out here, but it is a beautiful ride. Last time it was foggy, so not much of a view.

Has anyone ridden the Talimena byway recently? I am planning on riding it the 27th/28th this month.

About 3 weeks ago.will be going back thru there on our way to the HOG event in hot springs,Arkansas 18-21 this month.

How is the ride thru the area? Any good places to stop you can suggest?

I have never been to that part of the country before. We are leaving DFW and headed to Mena, overnight there then ride Talimena byway Sunday into OK and end at Budroes rib joint in ardmore before heading back to DFW.

600 or so miles.
