Downtown Savannah
I decided to skip lunch today and catch some skirts in the wind downtown. Sorry, no skirt pics, but trust me, they were out.
If you have never been to Savannah Georgia, these pictures show a small taste of what makes Savannah interesting. It's by far not my favorite place to live, but it's worth seeing the historic district.
This is the house that General Sherman occupied at the end of his march to the sea and his conquest of Savannah (The city surrendered without a fight, hence the survival of the historic buildings.) Every time I go there, I can just imagine troops lounging on the porch sipping ice tea.
This is the house (The Mercer House) made famous by the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Crappy movie in my opinion, but the house is very cool. Designed by a 22 year old architect.
