Whats your favorite jaw dropping, heart pounding, curvy, twisty, elevation changing ride in America! Mine would be #1 Million Dollar Highway
Co.. Some my other favorites are;...Going to the Sun Mt.,... Trail Ridge Road Co.,... Beartooth Highway Mt.,... Rte 7 out of Lyons Co.,... Rte 12 in Id.! What's the one road you would have to ride before you "BITE THE DUST" or perhaps just could not ride anymore for some reason. Whats some of your favorites.

I'm with you moto on the million dollar highway, especially on a sunny fall day after the peaks get some fresh snow and the aspens are gold and traffic sparse.

A ride I call the Zipper, which starts in Tehachapi and crosses back and forth through the Sierras covering all the passes and winding up three days later north of Tahoe.

Coronado Highway! Man I though that one was my little secret. Sometimes I'll camp at sheep saddle and ride that road for three days straight.

Locally, the 243 from Banning through Idyllwild and down to Hemet and back.

Ever sit at the fire in a campground and discuss this subject with other riders that show up?
Lots of enthusiasm there, and lots of roads to explore.

For shear thrills (no spills) you need little to no traffic or LEO's to truly enjoy a road.
Rattle Snake Pass, no traffic ever.
Highway 36 California, no traffic ever.
The Dragons Tail, with little to no traffic if you get on it really early to ride it.
Coronado Trail, no traffic ever.
The 108,4 and 88 over the Sierra Nevada's, no traffic.
Highway 96 Northern California, no traffic.
I've ridden plenty of roads that were fun and scenic but they would usually have plenty of traffic which cut down on the fun factor.

For sweepers and neat hills...rte 7 from Harrison to Hot Springs, AR
For fun, hot dog it to the top of Mesa Verde. Traffic is part of the challenge.
Agree with others about Beartooth in MT.
And of course any route thru Monument Valley.
Many I've forgotten, and more to be found..
Thanks for the great thread this time of year...it helps.
