Have not been west of on 2 wheels yet, taking care of that summer and looking forward to several of the roads already mentioned here. For now my favorite ride is the trip to my cabin in the north woods of Pa, roads are good, scenery is nice and sitting on the porch with a cold beer at the end of the day makes it the best.

I've ridden plenty of roads that were fun and scenic but they would usually have plenty of traffic which cut down on the fun factor.

When we went thru Rattle snake we came across a guy who was broke down with a sportbike....we stoped see if we could help and he was blowing fuses and had girlfirend coming with truck...we got to talking and he rides from just out side Enterprise to Lewiston everyday for work......

rt 12 lolo pass.....one my top....
hwy 20 in ca from Hwy 5 to hwy 1....thats one sweeet gem!!!

No traffic and no LEO's are definite plus factors when considering the best rides. The out of they way gem's that have little traffic and great scenery like Rte 17 in northern NM. going into southern Co. are rides I remember that aren't talked much about. Some guy's on here mention Rte 191 in Az., never rode that road but definitely would if I was in the area again! Thanks for the sugestions, anybody here rode Rte 17?

YES

Pacific Coast Highway, Big Sur California.
Go on a week day to avoid traffic ... it's so remote and beautiful. Should be on everyone's bucket list. Cool places to stop too. Mountain and Ocean views the entire ride.

Default My Favorite

Redwood Hiway Crescent City to Eureka Ca, watch out for Elk

Hiway 1 North of Ft. Bragg CA to Muir Woods , especially the part north of Bogeda Bay (where the movie "The Birds " was filmed). This stretch is very high above the coast with sweeping vistas, hairpin turns, fog and cows in the road.

Hiway 1 Monterey to the Hearst Castel then Hiway 46 to Paso Robles through wine country is very scenic.

The ride from outside of Fresno to Yosemite is spectacular, then the ride from Curry village on hiway 120 to Mono Lake is nice also.

Hiway 200 from Missoula Mt. to Great Falls is also one of my favorites
