Skipping 2014 Sturgis and going Razorback
With the need to get vacation time scheduled and lodging reservations made, I'm working on deciding this year's summer ride.
Typically we go to the Black Hills every summer and do pre-Sturgis or Sturgis but since we are differently going to do 2015's 75th rally we've decided to skip the Black Hills this year.
We're thinking about spending a week down in the Ozarks.
We've been through the area a few times but never spent any time there.
I've read that it's a great area to ride.
I'm looking at staying around the Russellville area and riding the Hwy 7 scenic byway and surrounding routes. However the Russellville area is just a target that I only picked because it's between Hot Springs and Harrison.
What I'm looking for is if anyone knows of any nice/decent cabins or other lodging in the area.
I don't want to stay in a dump, but I'd like to get by for less than $125 a day.
Also, if anyone knows of any "you can't miss that route" rides, pass them on.
Thanks,

There is a place called Cruise Inn/Throttle Down in Kinberling City MO. Great motel. They have a bar/grill there and an outside pool. Great owners. They are VERY biker friendly. Its not the Ritz but its very clean and they have a great view out the back. I think it was about $100 to stay. Its just north of Eureka Springs AR.

Just a few miles south of Jasper ,route 7 , past the Cliff House is a little hotel. Small , has about 6 rooms , kinda like little apartments, very biker friendly , and fun people run it. Nothing fancy but about 60 bucks a night with the best sunset in the Ozarks. I think it called the Lazy Apple Lodge and we used it as a base to ride the area. (Now for the disclosure) my cousin owns it , tell her Ed says hi.
