Going to Mountainfest in morgantown on the weekend and looking for interesting rides.
looking at mapquest Ohio 26 between Marietta and Woodsfield looks good and WV 250 between fairmont and Moundsville.
Anyone familiar with these roads?

 

Yeah you are spot on, 26 is a great road. Not sure where you are coming from but if you take 78 over to woodsfield then 26 down to Marrietta those are some of the best in Ohio. Rt 250 through WV is great as well, but becareful with all of the coal trucks as you near Durbin, but if you have time take a train ride while there. I have rode that train before, nice ride.

 

There is another gem in that area, St. Rt. 536 from just east of Woodsfield to Hannibal, OH. Cross over the Big Muddy Ohio in to New Martinsville head south and take WV Rt. 7 to WV Rt. 20. Take Rt. 20 into Shinston. A couple of great stretches of road. There is one hair pin on 536 so sharp that they placed a stop sign there to keep motorists from driving off the road.

 

I'll be taking WV RT 7 tomorrow enroute to Mountainfest. RT 250 is a good ride, and I ride it all the time....Simply because I have to since I almost live ON it, (house is literally less than 3 miles from it).
