Arizona Rd ?
planing a trip around the first of Sept From S.E. Texas through NM, Az, Ut and Co then back home ! In Arizona , the road between Patson and Camp Verde (HighWay 260) is this a good road to travel and is it paved ? I'm going to post my Google map plans and I'm open to suggestions.. I stopped my map around Las Vegas NM because from there who cares how we get back to Houston.

On the 191 just north of Alpine where your route shows to turn west on "Three Forks Road" I am pretty sure that is a dirt, county/forest road and with the monsoons it might not be the best road for a bike. I would suggest staying on the 191 / 180 to Eagar the go west on the 260.
Also unless you have to I would also stay on 260 all the way to Show Low and not take Porter Mountain Road (Penrod Rd) because it is two lane, nothing to look at 45 MPH road that the only thing you are going to see is a LEO running radar or the tail lights of the car in front of you because there are no legal passing spots. If you go through there around dawn or dusk you might see some elk but that would be about the only thing interesting. If you stay on the 260 there is food, fuel and retail stores if you need any supplies.
While on the Coronado Trail portion of your trip keep an eye out for this...

And try to time your lunch stop a the lodge

Your roads through AZ and Utah look mighty fine, enjoy. One recommendation, when you get into Heber-Overguard, stop at the Red Onion for a great burger. http://redoniononline.com
