PA Route 6 Trip

Call the Sherwood Motel in Wellsboro for a reservation. You'll probably need one. Lot of bikes there, and nice little town to stay, for a home base, for a couple of days. On 6, PA Grand Canyon, Kinzua Bridge, down to Benezette PA, and back east on route 120 to Lock Haven. Google Hyner View on 120. Take 6 west to Kinzua, and then 120 east. Great ride. From Lock Haven, 220 north to 287 north back to the Sherwood in Wellsboro. You won't be disappointed with this route & these stops. You can Google everything to see what they are.

Used to live in Tunkhannock PA... lots of great riding up that way. Take Rt 11 north into Nicholson, it will only put you about 5 miles out of your way. The largest railroad viaduct in North America spans the town there. Lots of good food in Tunkhannock... Shadowbrook if you need a place to stay right in the area, Downtown Deli in the middle of town for lunch, beagle pub for some drinks. Up Rt 6 about 15 miles in Black Walnut PA is a little side of the road BBQ joint, its on the left side going west bound and looks like a shack with a bunch of signs and crap, used to have the best BBQ in the area... hope that helps.

M Hodge,
I made the trip 2 years ago. We started out on route 33 north and picked up 6 west out to Warren Pa. Stayed overnight at a Holiday Inn and left early the next morning. Headed down through the Allgehanny National Forrest, into the Cook Forrest to Puxatauney. Stopped off at the groundhog festival and then continued on to Altoona to Horseshoe Curve. From there we rode to Raystown Lake and back through to Harrisburg across 78 and home.
Total trip 2 days, 777 miles. beautiful ride.
Have fun.

I don't live to far away but, I have stayed at the Penn Wells several times. It is a nice upscale place right in Wellsboro. Good base camp for running to the canyon and back or making a loop up around the dams and back.
If you want to run some curves and lesser traveled roads, run 144 from Galeton down to Renovo, take rte 120 along the river, go see the incredible view up at Hyner State Park (Hyner Run rd) and then run up 44, back to 144, back to Galeton.

Definitely hit up Hyner View. The road up and down is pretty cool, and you may see people flying in their hang gliders. We made our way down there last month. Great riding all over the "Grand Canyon" area. We just rode around the Kinzua Dam yesterday. All the roads were real nice
