One more thing, at MP 408 (about) 55± miles Northeast of Cherroke is the Pisgah Inn, it is right on the parkway and has a great restaurant, we have hotel reservations for the night of Aug 29, that will be our first night stopping point.

When are you doing your trip?

The only possible downside of 441 from Gatlinburgh to the BRP if you're in any knid of a hurry, is that it's 2 lane and double yellow lined the whole way. I't not uncommon to run up on a long string of cages stuck behind a sightseer doing 20mph. It's more of a problem in the afternoon than early morning.
