Routes 9n and routes 4 around Lake George are pretty amazing . Stop in Lake George Village or Bolton Landing along the way . Very biker friendly , that is where Americade is held every yr. You will not be dissapointed. You can even get into Vermont from rt 4 no lack of of good bike roads there either. Been there , done that, always love it.

Been going to Americade for 20 years. Not for Americade per say but for the roads! Lk G is a great home base for some of the best roads in the northeast. Bring your GPS and don't be scared to just take a road to see where it goes. Whiteface Mt is well worth the trip.

Can't go wrong in ADK. Check out nymotorcyclemap.com

Lake George, lake placid, 1000 islands are all awesome. The SW side of the ADK has great roads as well, old forge is quiet and only 50 minutes from utica if you want to stay in town.

Right in the middle of the Adirondacks is the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake on Rt. 30 just north of 28. One of the best small museums in America. Central to everything.

Anywhere in the area is great. Lake Placid to Plattsburg and then you can ride into Vermont or take the ferry over. We rode and the ride was great across the lake. Option to jump into Canada and don't forget your passports just in case. Have fun, it's a great area.

If you have time, go down 390 from Rochester toward Corning NY, and ride through Letchworth State Park. If you're just heading east from Bflo, get to Watertown and ride route 3 through Lake Placid. Gotta stop at Whiteface Mountain & ride up the gondola! The weather's probably not unlike yours in WV. Might be a little cooler at night, but probably not colder than just putting on a sweatshirt or something.

Default Hi

I grew up in Syracuse and worked at Sabattis scout camp in the summers running the archer range. It's all beautiful up there.

Old Forge is a nice little town that is worth seeing.
