Me and some buddies are leaving from Cleveland ohio and taking all back roads to the blue ridge pkwy then going to the tail of the Dragon,staying until june 29 then heading back home.. I cant wait......

Did you check out that route I posted on your other thread about the other way to rt 250 south of Carrollton? Post up some good pix.

we will be rolling right by you on 44 in mantua picking a guy up at the Mcdonalds down there.. I think that is near you

 

Also don't forget the NC 209 - The Rattler or US 28 - The Moonshine 28.
Also the ride to Bald River Falls is a nice little detour off the Cherohala SkyHwy

We stayed at the Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge (http://www.ironhorsenc.com) very nice,one word of warning, its a dry county so if you stay there stock up with beverages before you get there

 

Some towns only have beer/wine. Others have liquor. Just Be prepared to have your ID checked just about everywhere you order an adult beverage. Business establishments are focused on whether or not your license indicates if you have had a DUI/DWI. if so, they will not serve you.

 

I was just there last weekend. It was a great ride, if you have time take the moonshiner 28 down to Helen, Ga. Cool road and a nice little town to stay in.

 

If you have time try Rt. 536 in southeast Ohio on your way down

 

If possible try to ride the Dragon on a weekday when all the asshats on sportbikes aren't there!! That whole area doesn't have a bad road!!
