Default 12 days 4100 miles complete ready to go again!

My wife and I just completed our anniversary bike trip had an amazing time and can't wait for the next one. We ended up not being able to leave until 4 pm on May 7th but did ride until around 9 pm that night rode from home to Bentonville, AR. Found a room got checked in and walked across the street to have a bite to eat. Wake up the next morning went to Denny's next door for a quick bite ended up not getting on the rode until around 9 the following morning. Our goal was to make Nashville or close to it by that early evening Unfortunatley road construction a fatality accident and a truck jack knifing altered those plans maybe it was a good thing we left late that morning. While waiting in the traffic jam we did meet some very nice people several of them offered cold bottled water. One gentleman that was a local told us get behind me as soon as there is a turn around follow me I will take you back roads and get you out of the mess. We followed and sure enough he brought us out on the other side of the mess. We did set in traffic for about 3 hours but it just added to the adventure. Made it to Jackson, TN that night exhausted and sore been awhile since we have out some long miles on and are feeling it tonight. More on the trip later, we just completed the trip tonight and came home to grass that had grown a foot so had to get yard work done before unwinding and unpacking.

Woke up the next morning to beautiful weather and decided to hit the road our destination was somewhere close to Chapel Hill North Carolina. Headed toward Nashville and come across a sign saying expect delays consider alternative route we decided we have no real destination in mind so we took the first exit ended up on a fairly deserted good road and ended up traveling around Nashville. The sky started to cloud up and eventually we did have some light rain ask my wife if she was ready for rain gear and she said nope we will ride out of it soon and sure enough blue sunny skies ahead. Grabbed a quick lunch and hit the road again. That day the miles just clicked off we ended up making it to Chapel Hill that evening got to spend a couple nights visiting relatives. Absolute beautiful area got to do a little sightseeing as well as reconnecting with family. Also made some new friends along the way. We ended up riding around 800 miles.

Spent the morning talking and saying goodbye to family members and decided to head toward Myrtle Beach, SC and check out Bike week. Stopped at the the Harley store in Shallotte (sp?) North Carolina got a poker trip and made a donation to MD foundation. Decided to head toward Myrtle Beach and see if just maybe we could find a room we where in luck we found a room at Holiday Inn Express in Murrell Inlet, SC. Checked in and headed to Pier 14 awesome seafood meal and an incredible meal. Got up the next morning expecting to make a stop at the Myrtle Beach HD but nope they didnt open until 11:00 am and we decided to head toward Daytona Beach. Pretty uneventful ride but once again great weather to ride in.
