South Carolina Ride?
Can anyone tell me if hwy 78 has any points of interest? Will be riding out of Charleston on 26, and can go up to Columbia and pick up 20 to Augusta or take a short ride off of 95s and pick up 78 and 278/19 to Augusta.
I like to see local points of interest and Fed hwys can be exceptionally boring so if theres much to see I'd appreciate your pasing that info along.
Thanks

78 will be a much more enjoyable ride than slabbing it. Traffic should be light once you get north of Summerville. There are numerous small towns along the way. Branchville holds a festival called Railroad Days. I don't remember any must see places but it will be a relaxing ride back in time in the Old South. Woods, farms, and old houses. That's enough for me. Keep going past Augusta on 78 to Harlem, home of Oliver Hardy. They have a Laural and Hardy museum.
