My 14 day trip out through New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado was going to begin today. I had to cancel it. My youngest son is going to have surgery in the next few days so I have to be home.

I spent a lot of time planning the trip and was really looking forward to it. I would be leaving my house about right now.

I am going to squeeze in a 4-5 day trip to the hill country starting tomorrow though. We think his surgery will be next Friday so I'll be home before then.

Boo Hoo.

Thanks, my route went through Las Cruces. We're talking about trying it in mid-September. Hope the weather is decent at that time.

Those places will still be there for you after you've done the right thing by your family. It never pays to put yourself above your family. Hope it works out for you and your son.
