Has anyone taken this trip? Wife and I want to take our first multiday trip and this looks like it could be a good trip. Are there things to do along the way? Scenic? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

 

I've nearly done it by car, bike and snowmobile!
Looks like it could be an interesting trip.

You'll need either a passport or an Enhanced Michigan D/L. just as you would for the "Lake Superior Tour" which a friend and I were going to do last year, until...I discovered the night before that my passport had expired the prior year!
So, we just decided to do a ride through the U.P.
The first night in Newberry, after I had "pigged-out on Labatt's beer and Pizza Hut chow"my friend discovered that he had left all of his "meds" at home, so we "looped" home and postponed that tour to this year.

We got our "stuff" together now and hopefully we'll be able to complete that journey in June or July.

 

Never did the circle tour, but We rode along the shore line of all 5 lakes back in 2011. Stayed on Manitoulin Island at Red Lodge for two nights place was nice, the owners were great, food was good and they have a bar.
