Depending on your time frame, if you can, need to head over into AZ and check out Oatman along original route 66. Then, got to go see the Grand Canyon.
If you can't get there, the places Harley Guy said. All real nice. Mt. Charleston is a must. Once you get to the top, you will forget you are in Vegas. And, while in Vegas, need to go down town to the original part. Lots of fun.
Have a safe trip....

If you end up in Las Cruces, NM take I-25 north to Exit 63(I think). Then 152 west to Silver City(great road). Out of Silver City take 180 northwest for a few miles and then take 78 over to Clifton, Arizona. Now take US 191 north. This is one of the premier rides I have ever been on. From Clifton north to Eagar, Az is wonderful. From Eagar you can choose a variety of routes to Las Vegas. You need to try and work in 89A between Flagstaff, Sedona and Jerome. Also, if you run up to I-40, route 66 is pretty much just a frontage road at best all the way to Arizona. In Arizona, some of the old Route 66 is still in service. I would run the slab all the way to Las Cruces and then start my enjoyable rides.
