Just wrapped up a road trip with my dad and some of his work buddies. We trailered from Houston to Albuquerque NM and hit CO, ID, WY, and MT. We did a bit more than 3k in a week and saw some really pretty country. The highlights were Tetons, Yellowstone, million $ highway, Wind River Canyon, and Beartooth pass. Got vertigo from all the switchbacks on the Beartooth. The mountain meadows on top of the pass were beautiful. Found a cool hotel in Walden CO. (Antlers Inn). Finally got to see some antelope in the wild.
Had a funny moment at the Tetons, there we are in front of these massive majestic mountains when a tour bus full of Chinese tourists pull up. The door opens and as they start getting off one girl sees the bikes and without missing a beat she makes a beeline for us. We took a picture of her on the bike with the mountains in the background. Then we got the hell out of there in case they started lining up.
Best part by far was doing the trip with my dad.

Rode the million dollar hiway last week, from north to south, saw a wolf up the hill from Silverton, he was gonna cross the road but changed his mind. Also passed the steam locomotive near Durango, that was cool. There were a lot of bicycle riders on a bike race and was suprised to see the steam engine chugging by. Great ride to take, especially with your Dad, will be some good memories.

It was a great trip and by far the longest I'ge ever done. I had a great time just hangin out with my dad. We were on the bikes from 8:30 to 7-9 each day. Froze my but off coming down into Silverton, didn't realize how high it was and I'm a cold weather wimp. I thought Ouray was a cool town. Red Lodge is worth mentioning too, cool biker town. We managed to just miss the rain all week. Already talking Great Smokey Mtns next year.
