Just starting to plan our trip to Myrtle beach in September. We already have the resort booked and plan to arrive in Myrtle Beach on the third day. We can allow for either three or four days to return to Michigan.

Any suggestions on routes or things to see along the way are appreciated.

 

If you are planing on coming across Ohio, 250 from Sandusky to New Philadelphia is a nice ride to get to I-77. The weekend of September 7,8,9 in Marietta, Oh is the sternwheel festival I think the website is www.ohioriversternwheelfestival.org . I haven't heard who the entertainment is going to be this year but it is free.

 

An hour or so south from Myrtle Beach is Charleston SC - great place to spend a day. An hour north is the battleship North Carolina. While in the area go to Calabash or Murells Inlet for seafood.
