Shenyang China Charity riding-Sinkiang Impression 2
Leaving the 2nd largest and boisterous city -- Korla in Sinkiang, we entered the quiet and peaceful Ili in North Sinkiang Region, which is also called" south of Yangtz River view beyond the Great Wall". We were once drawned by the landscape in Guangxi and Yunnan Province, however, when riding into Ili grassland, we were shocked by the pure nature in front of us, feeling like we were shuttling through fairyland-like oil painting created by world-class master. The uncanny workmanship of Nature is beyond comparison! The view it created is definitely a everlasting work of the world! We recommend to all the riders this north Sinkiang route again. without further ado, let the pix tell you how stunning the landscape is.
28th,May, We started from Korla to Ili, passing by the beautiful Kunes Ditch.
Every Journey brings different state of mind, recalling the dust and sand in G219, the green here surely made us relaxed.
The beautiful view combining the smooth road always make people pleased.
Several piles of snow cannot bear the lonliness,sliding down the mountains to play with the fields.
Our team riders were riding freely.
Kunes is located on the side of Hejing-Bayanbulak highway. It's 95km from Bayanbulak, 240km from Heijing county. There are a lot of Spruce trees and snow mountains here. Kunes River roars to the west. The mountains looked very flourished from afar with various shape of rocks projecting and flowers all overthe valley. In the Hongjialike Ditch 8km from the tree farm, there are waterfalls and the view is fabulous. There are guest houses in the tree farm offers travellers accomodation and meals.
In Sinkiang and Tibet, you can always see cattle and sheep swagger passing the road and the vehicles had to stop to let them go first.
We reached consense that this highway can be ranked as one of the most beautiful highway of the world.

Suddenly the Spruce tree team appeared, standing straightly like the guards of the nature .
Kunes Ditch is here. The grassland-type hotels appeared--Mongolian Yurts
On our way,, there were a lots of Mogolian Yurts, offering travellers accomodation.
The view of Kunes Ditch is very beautiful, we could see flowing rivers from time to time.
The view beyond the Great Wall should be tough, but we could also see the tenderness of the South Yangtse Region.
Amazing landscape is always hiding behind remote mountains. You cannot imagine this unless you came here and saw it with your own eyes.

It's located in Ili Huocheng county, 90km from Yining city and 670km from Uramchi.The Khorgos Rriver is the boundary of China and Kazakhstan, now it is only open to Kazaknstan. Back to Sui and Tang Dynasty, it's an important station on the new north way of silk road. It's also with th longest history,largest volumn, best environment and fully functional first-grade road port in the west of China. It's one of the 3 ports open to a third country along with Hongqilapu port in South Sinkiang on the boarder part of China and Pakistan and Ari Mountain port in North Sinkianng.
Our team drew the crowds attention as soon as we lined up our formation.

This is the real changing the chasm into thouroughfare.

Sayram Lake is located in the west of Yining city in the west Sinkiang, the north way of the silk road with Uramchi-Ili highway passing through the south bank. Sayram Lake is known to the world for its wonderful nature beauty. The lake surface evelation is 2073m high.it's 30km from east to west and 25km from south to north, the perimeter is 90km. Sayram Lake is the highest and largest cold water lake in Sinkiang.
Sayram Lake has many titles: It's called the last tear drop of Atlantic Ocean because it's the last place where Atlantic warm current arrives.In ancient times, it was called the "pure sea of the west", In Mongolian it pronounced" Sayramzhaoer" means "the lake on the ridge of the mountain". In Turkic language "Sayram" means" safe". But "Sayram Lake"is in Kazakh Language means" wish". There is a legend that this lake is formed by a young couple's tears who died for love. It is also called "heaven pool" or "milk sea".
