2. Oak Island Lighthouse, Caswell Beach, NC
Cedar Island Ferry
3. Ocracoke Lighthouse, Orcracoke, NC
Ocracoke-Hatteras Ferry
4. Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Buxton, NC
5. Bodie Island Lighthouse, Nags Head, NC
6. Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Corolla, NC

Life is good... Let's Ride!

 

What a great ride that will be! We have made that trip a few times, and have some great memories!

 

I really wanted to do that same ride when my son lived in Charlotte. Now that he's not there I doubt it will happen. Please post pictures when your done.

I'm jealous and my wife says that she hates you.

Seriously, have a great ride, I wish I was going with you.

My late wife and I dorve the car to Nova Scotia and did the light house tour route. This one is a lot closer. I saved the stops for a future ride on the bike.

 

I thought the last Hurricane Season wiped out most of the roads. Have they rebuilt?

Stayed in Duck 2 years ago and rented a softail to ride to Cape Hateras.

 

My family was just down Hatteras Island last week and all of rt12 is open. Most of the damage was in Rodanthe area. Lots of stores are still rebuilding.
That sounds like a great ride! Just have a full face helmet on because that blowing sand hurts! Cant wait to see pics!

 

We had a great ride, the weather was perfect the entire time.
I logged 1,040.5 miles round trip.
We had 14 people, 7 Men, 7 Women, 11 bikes of all sizes and types, the smallest being a Honda Rebel that was many time WOT.
No issues, no problems, just a fun group.
I'll load up a pic of our group on the 2 hour Ferry ride - which was smooth as could be.
