RE: Myrtle Beach Bike Week 1st Timer
We've been going to both the Spring and Fall rally for the past two or three years. Theres a bunch of great bars, restaurants and attractions to go to. They have many event sites up and down Hwy 17. You've got to check out Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, Suck Bang Blow (both locations) Iron Gate, Dicks, gosh more than I can think of at this moment. As far as good rides, I like the ride down to Charleston. It's about a 200 mile round trip ride. The ride to HB Spokes (formerly HD Spokes) in North MB is pretty good. Some people ride on over into NC and see the movie studio area. Be careful in traffic. It is always heavy and can be dangerous. Several people die each year due to traffic accidents. Anyway, have fun and if I can offer any other advice just let me know.
Oh, and by the way, The Sea Mist has some real good rates and many different types of rooms.

This will be our fifth year going for MBBW. We did the fall rally once and I did not like it as well. I always have a business meeting in MB the Monday and Tuesday after so I stay and do some more riding. That always seems to be the best day to ride to Charleston. If you choose to ride to Charleston stop in Georgetown, and ask how to get there thru the Francis Marion National Forest. It is a great ride, with little traffic. Another place I always love to go to is the Rat Hole of MB. Its a little off the beaten path, but lots of fun. They have abike rodeo, as well as the other usual attractions.Punisher if you oranyone elsefrom the site would like to get together let me know. Would love to have a meet and great of HDF, and no better place than bike week. James

MBBW isfun I go to the Spring Bike week. There is a ton of places to go and see. If you like to shop PG they have a pretty good outlet mall. The group I ride with also goes to the Fall Rally as well. However, I discovered a ride in NYC called the Concrete Canyon Run! It's a ride through all five burroughs of NYC with stops atGround Zero and ending at Coyote Ugly! The wholeride is escorted by the NYPD Motor Unit. All proceeds go to the St. Judes Childrens Hosp.We go up for 4 days and ride up to OCC and through the Catskills. Out of all the rides and rallys I went on last year the Concrete Canyon Run was the best by far. I'm a 2.5 hr. ride from MB (im in NC) and I chose to go the NYC instead of the Fall MBBW, I can;t wait for the 2007 Concrete Canyon Run!! MBBW is fun.....but after 3 days I'm ready to come home. It would be great to meet everyone I wanted to meet up with Lynn last yearbut it just did not work out.I hope to meet a bunch of you in May of '07
