If you are a baseball fan you are 89 miles from Cooperstown, Baseball Hall of Fame. If you go through Oneonta it is a beautiful ride throught the Catskills. I graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 1978 and most of my hangouts are probably toast now.

Brooks House of Barbecue was a favorite open pit restaurant with tasty Chicken. As a college student I loved it but I haven't been there since 1978, but I see it still gets good reviews.

Dress warm, gets cold at night in the mountains. Don't believe any stories you hear about my college days.

 

Look up Letchworth State Park. Worth the 6 bucks to get in. Ride the whole length, and get off & look, at the pull-offs. Plan on at least an hour or 1.5 to get through it if you stop. (and you should stop alot & look.)
