i'm a filmmaker and spent two weeks shooting the rally a few years ago. temps ranged from 105 to high 40's during the day. that was the first 2 weeks in august and it rained the latter part. would not recommend the buffalo chip for camping. i met the owners of glencoe and they seemed like good people.

Well the time to embark on our journey to Sturgis is 12 hrs away!!!! Me and my life long biker friend are finally making our bucketlist trip! Nine days of motorcycling zen and bliss!! We're like two kids on Christmas Eve full of excitement, anxiousness and impatience waiting for the time to come.
I'll post pics and a recap of our trip when we get back!! cpatch::icon_dance

Lamphere is right across from the Full Throttle, clean, cheap and a great place to stay. Weather is always nice and sunny and it never rains in....oh wait thats a song.. LOL It can be cold to hot, rainy to dry... All my sturgis pics from over the years have different forms of clothing but one thing is always the same...the smile. Enjoy.

Day 1- June 30th We left Mississauga, On, Canada at 9:30am smooth saiiing until we hit the border (Sarnia/Port Huron) we had at least an hour wait with 36 degree temps compounded by the heat of car/truck exhaust was unbelievable!!!!!!!! We ended riding to Muskegon Michigan and camping at a KOA arriving at 6:30 in the evening. A total of 644kms.
Day 2- We took the ferry across to Milwaukee Wisconsin and we're blow away by the cost 2 guys and 2 bikes $275 WTF!!!! We stayed at the Iron Horse Hotel pretty styling and swank spot not for the budget minded but worth the coin if you can afford it added bonus is the Harley Museum is a stones throw away which is a must see!!!! Lucked out as Summerfest was going on and we got to see some pretty cool bands which we never heard of before except the band Chicago which was a bonus and also reminds us of how old we're getting! Lol
Day 3- Left Milwaukee at 11:30am and rode to Brandon South Dakota. Arrived at 8:30pm and rode in 36 degree weather hotter than hot! Three states and 809kms!!!!!
Day 4- Left at 7:30 am and arrived at 2:45 pm at Chris' camp ground in Spearfish sweet spot!! 671kms in 36 degree weather!! Our dream has taken fruition and now we have 3 days to explore the rides! Off to ride Spearfish canyon!!! Later guys n gals!!!!
