Default All you guys from Missouri..........

My wife and I and my parents are planning a road trip to Branson this Spring, and since I've got a time-share, I can stay at either of the two places below. If any of you are local and have been to either or both of these places, could you steer me in one direction or another???? The Big Cedar Lodge one looks really nice to me, but I've gotten burned when we went to Sturgis, the place looked great online, but it sure wasn't that way in real life!!! I'd rather not repeat that again!!! Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have been to the Big Cedar Lodge and it is amazing. The pictures they post are just what you get!! There are also plenty of good rides in the area to do. It isn't to far from Branson and Springfield so there is lots of things to do in the immediate area.

Big cedar is gorgeous. Anything down here owned by Johnny Morris (owner and founder of Bass Pro Shops), is going to be awesome.
There are a lot of beautiful bed and breakfasts in the area also. If you see something you are interested in, let me know. I could spend an entire day listing great places to stay around the Ozarks.

As far as riding goes; take your pick. Many many good biking roads in Southern Missouri, but don't forget about Northern Arkansas. Do not leave the Ozarks without riding the Boston Mountains. Absolutely breath taking.

Thanks Gunslinger. Any links too good rides or attractions would be much appreciated! I didn't know that the guy who owns Big Cedar also owned Bass Pro Shops. Just for the hell of it, I went to their website, and was trying to price a 2 bedroom cabin with a loft, but I couldn't do it because of their B.S. way of doing it, in any event, I was able to price a 1 bedroom cabin with a loft, and if I had to pay out of pocket for the second week of June I'd have to have paid 5,600.00!!!! This one of the few times that I've actually been happy that I purchased the damned time-share!!!

Thanks for the links!!! Oh also, one more question. I believe the helmet laws just recently changed in MO, correct? You only have to wear a helmet there if you're on the interstate, right?

No, it's still state law. You have to wear a helmet and it's a 25 dollar fine but no points if you're busted without it.

Big Cedar Lodge all the way man, if its good enough for Waylon Jennings birthday party there, along with Crew, Band and family, you will like it.

That did not pass, but if you wish to wear a skid lid you will be fine, no LEO will bother you at all.
