What are some good day or weekend trips to take near northeast ohio.

 

Take a weekend. Route 6 in PA is a great ride. Go over to the PA grand Canyon. Hit the Hall of Fame in Cleveland on the way over. Also on 6, look up Kinzua Bridge State Park, Kinzua Dam, go to Benezette PA & look for some elk, take 255 down to Dubois (stop at Dubois Harley. Pretty cool place) & take 80 home from there. Almost anything in NW PA is a nice ride. Unless it's been fixed, stay off 17/86 in southern tier of NY, between 390 & Erie. Last I was on it in the car, I thought I'd rather be on a dirt road, it's so rough.

I dont know what kind of ride you are looking for, but one of my favorites in NE Ohio is putting along the river on Rt. 7. It goes the entire distance of the River, i believe. However, i usually only do a loop from East Liverpool to Steubenville and back. Its nice and quiet, good roads, and a good view. Plus, you can catch it from I - 70 and go either north or south...
