Default Desert Run

Snow birding in Arizona instead of suffering from cabin fever in Montana results in many riding opportunities. Longest ride I took this year was last weekend when I left Apache Junction and ran the I-10 over to Quartzsite, then up the Colorado River to Lake Havasu City and on to Laughlin NV. Spent the weekend at the Avi Casino, and did the turn around. 600 miles or so. Weather was sunny, 55 in the mornings, up to mid 70's in the heat of the day.

The desert if lonely, but sure is pretty in it's own way. My 98' FXDS ran like a fine tuned clock all the way. What a kick I get riding that scoot.

Been here about 4 months, and will be headin' back to the ranch towing our horses with the Harley riding shotgun in the bed of the dually in the next few weeks. What a life!!!!! Retirement is the best job I ever had.

Ride safe.

I keep wondering what I will do on the first day of my retirement. Probably get up late and then ride the rest of the day.....somewhere, anywhere, no place in particular.

Retirement is great just trying to figure out where to ride today is the hardest thing one has to do.
