Default Need Advice re: Motorcycle Parking in Las Vegas

Some friends and I are riding from San Antonio to Las Vegas in April. We want to stay downtown, at the Golden Nugget, but we're concerned about parking and the security of our motorcycles. Anyone have suggestions? Our number one concern is peace of mind regarding motorcycle parking, so we are willing to stay elsewhere if necessary.

When I went to Vegas I stayed at the Excaliber. I asked a security guard and he directed me to a parking garage that had a dedicated MC parking area on the property. Call ahead and find out.

During bikefest the Nugget dedicates an entire garage to bikes being there a sponsoring casino. I imagine they have dedicated MC parking in a section of the parking gargage. We usually stay at Caesars Palace, they let you park almost right by the front entrance where they valet all the high end cars, we've seen Rolls and Maibachs on the same row, I never worried.

Why don't you call the casino and see what security they have in place. If you have the information prior to the trip, it will make the entire journey much more enjoyable.

We've stayed in New York, New York one trip, and the Golden Nugget the other, and had no problems parking in the hotels garages. There were four bikes at NY, NY and 16 at the Golden Nugget. We locked the bikes and then chained them together in pairs.

That's just my experience. I have no idea what their overall safety record is like.

The people that own and run the casino's are of a certain pasta eating breed. They really don't like anyone ripping off the customers other than the gambling itself.
I think your pretty safe in any major hotel.

I once went to a club on the shaky side of town. I tipped the outside guard $5 and asked him to keep an eye on my bike. Hours later he was still standing next to the bike giving the hairy eyeball to everyone. Money well spent.

Connman, I stand corrected, he didnt start jumping Harleys until 1970, maybe why he came up short on the fountain jump at Caesars in 67. ha, jk
