Default 4 corners of US - anybody done it?

A few friends and I are starting to plan a 30 day (or so) trip around the US. We are looking to do close to the 4 corners as possible. Has anybody done anything close? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! We would be leaving Washington State around the 1st of August and heading east along the top of the US to start.

I too am planning to do a 4 corners tour this summer. I have a thread on the forum from a couple of weeks ago that you may reference (https://www.hdforums.com/forum/road-...ners-tour.html). I did not get any replies as to anyone on the forum that has taken the trip. There are several trip reports on the 4 corners tour web site (http://www.usa4corners.org/). I do plan to sign up for the sanctioned tour. Probably leave around June 15 and go to Key West to start.

Mike, another thing. I am planning to take Rt 20 across the northern part of Washington as I am leaving Blaine heading to Madawaska. Is this a good motorcycle road?

I am planning to ride I-10 across the southern US from Key West to San Ysidro, so I should have time to ride some scenic routes in Washington. Any input would be appreciated on Washington or other places as to good rides, places to visit, etc.

Thanks for the info. It is very helpful. HWY 20 is a great road. Are you following it through Montana and all. It is a nice ride.

Thanks for the info on Rt 20. Looks like a nice road on the map. I plan to take Rt 20 and hit US 2 in Idaho and thru at least Montana. Will drop down onto I-94 somewhere. I plan to stay in the US all the way to Maine and not cross over into Canada.

I have ridden on I-90 over to Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens back in 2007. Also been on part of US 2 in Montana when I did Glacier NP also in 2007.

I've been reading a couple books by Ron Ayers that have tips for rides like the 4 corners. There's references to a lot of experienced riders who have completed the ride. He participates in and organizes motorcycle endurance rides and tours. Might be worth searching his name on amazon.com.
