Wisconsin And Lake Michigan trip
I am planning a 10 day to 2 week ride this summer from Virginia to tour Wisconsin and loop around Lake Michigan. Any suggestions on any good rides or must see places. Planning on stops in Green Bay, Milwaukee and Nekoosa. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Milwaukee: Harley Davidson Museum
Miller Park, Home of the Brewers
Green Bay Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame
Nekoosa PM me. I live 15 minutes from Nekoosa, on Lake Arrowhead.
Make sure you stop at a Supper Club. Typical Wisconsin food. http://www.theblackottersupperclub.com/ is on your way from Green Bay to Nekoosa, depending how you go.
http://www.yelp.com/biz/conleys-in-k...sconsin-rapids is about 20 minutes from Nekoosa. It is my favorite supper club. Especially for a Friday Night fish fry.

Have fun!
Good day
Here is a great link for Wisconsin: http://www.statetrunktour.com/index.php
Great ideas throughout. How are you going to travel west? Have some suggestions to get around Chicago and things to see on the way too
In Wisconsin, you should try to get to Door County, which is the "thumb" when you look at a state map. The middle of the state has some great roads and towns. For example, Minocqua is fun. Take some time and get on the rivers and lakes. In Southern Wisconsin are some great roads along glacial trails etc.
You can't go wrong no matter what you do

If you're spending the evening in the upper pennisula consider stopping at the Clark Motel in Strongs, MI nera the intersection of M-28 and M-123.... It's about an hour north of the Mackinaw Bridge .... Andy and Parry are very biker friendly and their place is a throwback to the old days when a motel stop was more like an adventure .... it really is like going back in time and the place is super clean .... once over the bridge be sure to take the M-119 Tunnel of Trees http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/1/5974...ees--M119.aspx and make it a point to stop at Legs Inn for lunch. Have a great ride and "Welcome to Michigan"

From Green bay I would head up to the Porcupine Mountain State Park on Lake Superior. From there I would head for Copper Harbor on the tip of the Keewenaw Peninsula. From Copper Harbor I would head for Marquette and over to Munising, then to Grand Marais, Taquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point and Sault Ste Marie. If you have an extra day at Sault Ste Marie (The Soo) take a run up the Queens highway 17 in Canada to Wawa and back down. The east end of Lake Superior above the Soo is awesome. In the Lake Superior provincial Park you need to be watch for Moose.
IMHO the south shore of Lake Superior is much better scenery than the north end of Lake Michigan. Good Luck and Enjoy!

Sleeping Bear Dunes is worth an afternoon........or longer depending on how much time you want to spend. Went there last fall and it was really a nice stop.......spent almost the whole day there.

Stop in Traverse City and experience Grand Traverse Bay. There are some outstanding eateries there as well. Apache Trout, Boones Steak House, or Don's Drive In are places we always stop at.
Between Traverse and the Mighty Mac (the Mackinaw Bridge) I suggest taking M-31 along the lake.
