I did the Pikes Peak ride in 1972 on my 1972 XLCH. It was not paved then. It was late June and it was snowing at the peak. Going up was no big deal (to a dumb kid like me), but coming down I kinda over-heated my brakes, and had to stop and let them cool down at about the half-way point coming down. Your video brought back some fond memories. Thanks for posting it! I wish I had some photos from that trip, but back then, I did not even own a camera. LOL
