Default Milwaukee HD Museum trip recommendations ?

we are heading on a trip to HD Museum the 25 th . Ridding from east Tennessee . We will have one full day for the museum and what ever we can find to get into. We would appreciate any info on stuff to do, places to see, and places to eat. We will be ridding back to Indiana after that day to visite wifes family. Then the next day back to Tennessee. Thanks for any info you all can share Sammy

The museum is incredible. Take some time and mosey through slow. I was with my wife and although she was liking it, she clearly is not the HD nutcase I am. Plan on at least 3 hrs. I would have spent the better part of the day if she was not with me. There is a restaurant across the street if you need to get a bite and go back. A shop across the street with some cool stuff, clothing, etc.

The Pottawatomie casino is close by if you wanna do some gamblin.......

I don't know if you're looking for "biker" stuff to do, but as far as "normal" restaurants go:

Best burgers:
#1. AJ Bombers
#2. Sobelman's

Benihana's for Japanese steakhouse

Plenty of other museums and stuff in the area too.

Good day
The museum is a museum. I think 3 hours is more than enough time. I also don't think the restaurant is any great shakes. Some disagree. Anything Harley to them has to be great. The store has a lot of stuff, that's nice
I would suggest Real Chili near Marquette for some of the best chili you will have ever. A tradition. If coming up from Chicago, suggest the Brat Stop just over the border on 50 and the interstate. The Interstate has lots of construction up near the airport. Might want to consider 45 north. Nice trip and goes through the Kettle Morraine for some easy twists. On 45 just south of the interstate is Wisconsin Harley in Oconomowoc. Got to get shirt with that on it. You can then take the interstate into the city or Highway 18
You might want to take the ferry across the lake into michigan, saves that return trip through Chicago and great riding on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan back to Indiana. YOu can stop by Notre Dame and visit that beautiful campus and see the Dome and visit the Grotto
Below is a great link to state roads in Wisconsin

Sobelmans is okay, I got food poisoning there and had to be hospitalized

From our trip in June of this year:

Downtown is fun as was:
* steel toe tour of the HD plant
* museum tour
* casino
* miller brewing tour
* Pabst mansion tour
* Kettle Moraine Forest ride
* Downtown brew pubs (lots of them)
