Heading Through PA
I'm getting on my Iron and leaving Western NY tonight and heading down to NJ through PA.
Here's part of where I'll be riding through PA: 29S, 2022, 309S, 415 S, 115 S and I 76 E
I have no plan except to get to Bass River NJ by Friday afternoon. Gonna leave Rochester, NY around 7pm tonight and ride until I'm tired, then either find a campsite, or a cheap motel, or just "crash" on the side of the road. Anyone have any recommendations for better roads or sights, or a campsite or something in those there parts?

I think I might take a nap, start a little later, and just keep going if I could, to get down there before everybody starts heading for the shore. It's Friday. I'd probably just do 390, 17, 81, 476, 76 through Phila & across the bridge, to 42 & AC Expwy. Might be alot nicer trip at night. Not as many drivers, but just as many (or more) animals that you won't be able to see coming. If you've never gone from Phila to the beach on a Friday, it'll be murder. I'd go all the way down, overnight. Do the scenic stuff & some stops on the way back. (Sunday headed out will be a biotch too.)

Hmm... methinks you make a good point.
Alright, the plan will be to ride as far as I can until it becomes unsafe, and see if I can do it all tonight.
I won't keep riding if I'm in that "sleepy" zone though.... we'll see how it goes. Last year I rode down to brooklyn to visit my brother, and riding in the city was AWFUL. I mean, I think I put 5 years EASY wear and tear on my bike in just an hour. So I think you have a good point about traffic on friday heading to the shore too....
