Default Moki Dugway, pass route 161, Utah

We road through this pass in mid July. This is about 3 miles of gravel on a road where you can't get out of first gear. We were lucky we were going up hill through this pass. Up hill on gravel and some of the 180 degree turns we partialy paved. This is one of the most intimidating roads I have ever been on. Does anyone else have any comments on this pass I would like to hear them.

Check the Goole Earth satilite view for..... Moki Dugway, Utah ......in the seach engine and zoom in.

Been there. Love the view from the top. One of my favorite places. We did it downhill. Just took our time. You are right about it being intimidating.

Been there, done that, its a memorable experience. Hubby enjoyed the trip, he was in control, his hands were on the gas & brakes, but as the passenger I found it nerve racking! Thank goodness for the cold beer and great steak when you get to Mexican Hat!!

Try it at night and raining....going down.

I was coming down 95 then right on 261 (moki) to mexican hat for the night.

I went back in the morning to see it in the light...

then continued on towards 4 corners and colorado

Yes, one of the coolest in my book...
