You have to stop in to see Split Rock Lighthouse and take the tour.
The Duluth harbor tour may be interesting, Glensheen & Goosberry Falls as cgauss mentioned. I did the trip 20 years ago and there was a old fort near Thunder Bay (Fort Williams?) that was pretty cool.
Speaking of cool, the big lake never really warms up and you will notice a cool breeze if the wind is off the lake, seemed like it was 15 degrees colder when ever we were near the water...
