- When in RMNP, certainly ride Trail Ridge, but given you have forked over some $$$ with the park pass, be sure to ride the Bear Lake Road to Bear Lake as well. Yeah, it is an out and back ride, but you see the amazing Moraine Park, and the scenery along the way is world class...

- If you're hanging around Estes Park, the Big Thompson Canyon (U.S. 34) to the east is famous. You can make it a circling ride by turning NW at Drake and returning via County 43/Devils's Gulch Road through Glen Haven. This a twisting blast of a road. It makes an ascent on the western end delivering you above Estes Park, and the view is photo famous. At Glen Haven stop at the Country Store. The fresh cinnamon rolls could possible be the best you will ever have...

- When you ride Trail Ridge through the park, here is the day ride I would go on...

Make this circling ride clockwise or counterclockwise. Either direction will leave you at Walden for lunch. Eat at the motorcycle popular Moose Creek Cafe. This route takes you over motorcycle divine Willow Creek and Cameron Passes, in addition to the Milner and Fall River Passes of Trail Ridge. You will also ride alongside Colorado's only National Wild Scenic River --- the Cache La Poudre. The Stove Prairie Road on the east end is a major two wheeled hoot.

Thanks Steve, I appreciate all the info and I will certainly have some more roads to ride up that-a-way... I am thinking that since both you and whiskers gave the route up and around the park through Walden that I will most likely ride that route with my brother when he comes in August. We will be on the Loveland side but I think I am going to take the Glen Haven road as I think its more scenic.

I am going to have to ride the Bear Lake ride as it looks like a great ride as well... now if work wouldnt get in the way.

also stayed on co 7 coming back (check your map) and went through St. Vrain canyon, WOW, not a long ride but well worth the trip!! Beautiful rock formations
