WI. Holly land Ride
Some buds meeting next week end, in Milwaukee for a day ride, we need ideas for some good places to ride.
Not looking for so much the usual HD STUFF more nice roads good views.
Also any ideas on a over night spot, going to Chicago Saturday for a DT night ride.
Thanks for your help!

Nice roads
Have a great time. Below is a link to a great site with all the Wisconsin state routes.

I think if you went southwest from Milwaukee you would have the best roads. 67 through the Kettle Morraine is nice. There are several nice roadhouse places, not necessarily beer joints but interesting old places.
On your way to Chicago, you might take 45? A nice Harley store is Ukes off I-94 in Kenosha. Suggest you think of going to the tourist trap Brat Stop just south of Uke's
In Milwaukee consider going to Real Chili near Marquette. Great place Or Miss Katy's diner for a hand made burger.
Hope this helps, enjoy

Last time I checked (about a month or so ago) 45 was under construction, with lots of gravel etc, from north of Casey Road to Grand Ave (both in IL) but the parts in WI are by far the best. I hear Green Bay Ave is pretty "scenic" going from Racine to about Evanston, just N. of the city, for when you're heading down towards Chicago. I def. agree with 67 though too as being a great scenic route.
Real Chili is good and Miss Katies is the best in the morning, that or Comet Cafe, but good luck getting a table, I think a stroll down Water Street is better for food and drink, with either AJ Bombers burgers (they won a Food Wars versus Sobelmans, which also makes great burgers and is right by the Harley Museum), or Red Rock Saloon makes some good food too.
