You got it --- 6 halfway through PA. Gotta stop & see the Grand Canyon of PA. It's on 6 about 10 miles from me. You'll go right by it. Then take 15 north, and map out a route to Watertown NY. Then 3 out of Watertown, through the Lake Placid area, to the ferry across Lake Champlain (at Fort Ticonderoga) into VT.

Actually i think route six kinda sux.i ride it.often and alot has been built up.
I suggest staying on i80to snowshoe /lockhaven exit.for a interstate its pretty nice.
take route 144north to tonics then to route 6.mu h more remote through sproul state forest.ole bull park.etc
when ya hook up with route six around couderzport and ya wont miss the grand canyon

Don't believe it. Route 6 (especially west of 15) is 1 of the (if not THE) nicest rides in the northeast. I'm not crazy about 6, east of Mansfield, but it's a terrific ride between OH & Wellsboro, and lots of things to stop & see also.

Believe Geezr Glidr. I traveled US Rt. 6 last year and didn't regret one minute of the ride. Lots of things to do and see. US Rt. 6 was featured as part of a Tri State Odyssey ride through New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York in the July 2001 issue of RIDER magazine. It even has a picture of the Wellsboro Diner. A great place to eat in my opinion. There are more aspects to a road trip than just logging miles. Roses are mighty aromatic this time of year and people are great if you take the opportunity to explore them.
