Congratulations Brent.

For others who may come to this thread seeking advice, I second the recommendation for the beaded seat covers. I got mine from beadrider. They were excellent.

Guess I'm gonna have to do one of these one day. I ride 714 miles(according to google maps) from S E NC. to S Central Tn. every couple months to visit the wife and then back during a 3 day or 4 day weekend. Another 300 miles can't be all that bad.
I usually stop every 180 to 200 miles for gas, some times eat, some times just a snack at as gas stop.
Usually takes me 14 hours, has taken 16 and twice a little over 12. Don't know how I made it in twelve but I did.

Something I do to releave pressure on my tail bone...scoot back in your seat and stetch your arms out forward and hold the center of the handle bars (when you're on the interstate)...you have to have cruise control. This little bit of a tilt forward takes the pressure off of your tail bone and gives your butt a break and stretches your back. It may feel good to stretch your legs out but leaning back with your feet up on the hwy pegs puts more weight and pressure on your butt...

Yep it sure gets addicting for some.
I just did my 4th Saddlesore 1,000 this weekend. Didn't bother keeping any paperwork just went along for the ride and fun.
Have completed the 1500 in 36 hours and 2000 in 48 hours. A couple of us have been talking about doing the 50CC coast to coast in 50 hours ride sometime.

Again, congratulations to you and everyone else doing these rides they are an accomplishment and fun as hell.

PigInaBlanket - Awwh Man..... now you have me plotting and scheming on the 50CC, lol. Based on the rules, a person can get the 1,500 / 24 hours while doing the 50CC ride too. The down side, living in Texas, have to go half way across the country to start the ride, wave at the house going by, then come back half way across the country to come home, which equals about 4,500 miles when all said and done. Sounds like a pretty darn good week of activities to me.

I'm on the east coast but still to do it in 50 hours I think we would have to ride down to Florida first then the next day start the ride west.
If you ever want to attempt it let me know when you'll be on the East coast and maybe we can plan to meet you and at least ride half the way back with you if you start on the West coast or even all the way if you start over here.
Hell I might as well try the 100CCC (coast to coast to coast in 100 hours) since I'd have to ride back to the East coast home afterwards. If I try that please check me into a mental hospital. The 2000 miles in 48 hours was grueling, that would have to be torture.

PigInaBlanket -
I think we would look to go from Jacksonville, FL to San Diego, CA. We haven't figured out when though, but will keep you posted. I here ya on the mental hospital, my wife thought I was crazy for the 1,000 ride, haven't sprung this one on her yet, lol.
