There has been alot of talk about it not being held in 2011, back and forth on this since last years run, the original Redwood Run is back.The Kiwanis whom originally held the event and relinquished control a few years ago have decided to bring it back for 2011..............It will be held at the Bowman Ranch (3 miles north of last year) in Piercy CA..............June 10-12 2011.............http://www.kiwanisrwr.com/.............From the Site: "Our Kiwanis Original Redwood Run began in 1977. Back than the venue was held at French’s Camp. The club and the event has evolved over the years, and the most recent site ended up being the “Riverview Ranch” in Piercy. This year, Kiwanis is taking the run back on June 10, 11, and 12! For the first time ever it will be held in Cooks Valley at the Bowman property, two miles north from the old site. This venue recently held Reggae Rising and Willie Nelson concert. It’s a beautiful site consisting of redwood groves and level grassy areas located on the South Fork of the Eel River. Our event will be featuring three days of camping, live music, biker games and shows. Hot showers are included, along with vendors and various non-profits. I'm there for sure. 5th year for me. I look forward to the next year's Redwood Run as I'm leaving Sunday morning from the run every year. It's just one of the best runs period....and I've been on a few.
