Needles is a MUST. I love that ride. The wildlife loop is cool too.

Don't forget your rain gear. Last year rolling through MT it was 100+ And then near freezing and raining that night in Hills City.

Everything the others have said is absolutley right on point. Last time i was there it was 105 degrees in Wall. The best advice I ever received I ever got when I road to Sturgis from a very seasoned biker was" prepare for the hotest day, the coldest day and wetest day" He was ablosulety right. But if you have some kind of internet connection with Dopler radar you can sometimes avoid the rain. Sometimes.
Have a safe trip. It's a spectacular area.
