Default touring wyoming and montana after sturgis

going to sturgis this year...have room in deadwood. from there i would like to go to beartooth pass, chief joseph hwy.?,other must see roads in the area. could you then go to glacier nat'l park and the follow the sun hwy.. interested in scenic routes. any ideas on how long this would take? it seems like you never make very good time in the mountains...even when the roads are good it seems like you have to stop a lot for sightseeing!! any input is appreciated.

Going to the sun hwy is amazing. You will love it, but dress warm.

Hwy 16 or 14 through the Bighorns. Can't go wrong with either one.

The Bighorn Scenic Bi-way in Wyoming is pretty cool.

I just went to both Hwy 16 and 14 over the Bighorns last July. Go to Cody and then take the Chief Joesph to the Beartooth(212) and go to Red lodge. Then by all means go to Glacier. In 2004 we took the Seeley lake road as suggested by a ranger when we were leaving from Hungry Horse going back to HWY 90. But we also took the trip around Flathead lake on our way up to Glacier from Missoula. It is all Beautiful. Search on this site for Bear tooth, Glacier, Yellowstone, Chief Joseph. Get out the Atlas and plan your trip. You can not have a bad trip with all the mountains and scenery. Good luck
