Nice ride in orlando??
Hello everyone,
Taking a vacation from Iraq next month, myself and the aldy are gonna head to orlando for a couple of days to check out the amusement parks. For one of the days, I rented a Harley for half a day to get a little riding in. Can anyone recommend a nice ride that would last maybe 3-4 hours give or take? This will be her first time on the back of a bike, so I guess nothing too crazy. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Yeah I would much rather ride over to A1A.
You could take 50 over to A1A and head north up A1A all th way to Palm Coast and back down...some pretty riding. Although being a gulf coaster I am a sucker for A1A with the waves. Ya might want to rent the bike for the day and have some fun.
Then depending on which way ya wanna go back ...Ocala forest is pretty to ride through as well. Have fun.

4 hours is nowhere near enough time if Daytona is your destination. I think that if you head east on 50 you will burn a lot of that time around the UCF area and as stated I-4 is no picnic, especially for a passenger with little experience. Might I suggest skipping Daytona altogether. If you are going to be in the theme park area then I would take US192 East. Getting thru Kissimmee is a bear but after that it, is a nice ride to the coast. Once you get on A1A in Melbourne Beach head south and ride an hour or two towards Vero. That's a great road with the Indian River on one side and the Atlantic on the other. You most likely do not get a whole lotta of that in Detroit, or Iraq for that matter. Time is the biggest factor....even that ride will most likely burn 5-6 hours. The traffic in Orlando is a cluster _____ on the best days, but the downtown areas around Church Street and Lake Eola are a nice ride but again your passenger will most likely need a Valium or two before you head out. You could take 192 west and travel along US27 thru the Clermont area. There are some nice rolling hills and the traffic is not that bad. I'm sure the folks at HD or Iron Horse where you rented the bike will have some more options for you.
Thank You for your service!

Another nice ride if you are starting out in the Kissimmee area is to ride down to Lake Wales to a place called 'Cherry Pockets', good food and chance to do a bit of gator watching while you eat :-) Very nice ride, actually a few rolling gentle hills plus the smell of orange groves. Guessing only about an hour each way but a nice ride never the less
