Good informative post Riskmanager. I agree with most everything you wrote. I disagree slightly on your H-D Museum comments though. You can whip through the museum in two hours - true, but you will miss out on a lot. Also, the restaurant at the museum called Motor is very cool. The food is very good, the ambiance is fantastic with river on three sides and nothing but glass to look through, and the new flat screens looping vintage films are fun. The service is sub-par though. They really need to punch that up.

Did the ride last fall. Took Lake Express across from Milwaukee. They have specials were motorcycle's are free. You pay for your passage, check there web site.
IMO the best part of the ride was the Tunnel of Trees. http://www.motorcycleroads.com/route.../MI/MI_3.shtml
Also a stop at Legs Inn at Cross Village is worth the time. It's on the north end of the Tunnel. http://www.legsinn.com/
Don't pee on Lambeau Field, I didn't on Soldier Field.
