Default Shade Valley Campground

I have stayed at the Shade Valley campground for the past three years and will be there this August. Check out their web-site. There is a great lodge/bar, plenty of clean showers, shade, and restaurant. Campground staff are friendly, helpful, and professional.

The Shade Valley is about seven miles from downtown Sturgis.

I also need my sleep. Once the lodge/bar closes and everyone gets to their sites it is very quiet throughout the campground.

I love to sit on the porch of the lodge, drink beer, and watch arriving million dollar motorhomes, pulling 100K trailers containing Harley garage trophys. It's a hoot!

Some might call Glencoe a Party Campground but I had no problems with it .. Other than where we camped was a bit of a walk to shower, I don't mind walking anyway some just ride up and shower but I don't crank mine over unless plan on doing at least 25+ Miles..

We stayed at Days End campground, clean showers, laundry facilities, a cpl of bars, grill and da bus comes by. It's also on the northwest side of Sturgis, and you don't have to fight the crowd to get to Deadwood and points west.

Hog Heaven...Great food and clean hot showers. Close to town but on the west side of town. You do not have to deal with going through town everyday to ride.

I would recommend Day's End campground for a number of reasons/
The campground is clean and safe.
There is a beer hal with live music every night.
Other than at the beerhall it is que at night (good for sleeping)
On the west side of town so you avoid traffic when heading out for a ride.
Walking didtance to town, if you decide to hoist a few it is a short stumble back to the campground.
