Can anyone give me the official route for Sturgis' No Panties Wednesday?

 

I don't know that there's an official route. Just head out for Hulett, Wy on 14. Same road Devil's Tower is on. It's very crowded.

 

If you are actually expecting to see something, prepare to be disappointed. I read an article that the first year was nothing more than a rumor. I was there for the couple years after that in Hulett (it's the main drag in Hulett, WY) and there was nothing out of the ordinary, but there were a TON of cops on foot, bike, and horseback. If you are looking for somewhere where you can stand on the sidewalk with a can of beer, Hulett is your place. NOT legal in Sturgis, still legal (I think) in Hulett.

Displaying certain parts of one's anatomy is highly frowned upon just about everywhere now. Flashing for a photo in Sturgis or Daytona will get you booked in jail. I imagine Hulett is the same, due to the heavy LEO presence.

 

If you go, go early and stay awhile. I would also park toward the edge of town, cause getting out or driving (walking the bike) through will take ya forever!

Besides, you may not want to see everything that gets uncovered that day cause the HOT chick to "that hurts my eyes" ratio is not in your favor!

 

I forgot to mention in my other post. It is the first Wednesday of the Rally. This year it is August 10th. No route, just find Main Street in Hulett WY, that's about it. Several little bars to check out and Devil's Tower is fairly close by.

The first year of the legend was 2002, IIRC. I was there on Wednesday in 2003 and several years thereafter. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it is kind of a neat old town to check out. Lots of people and bikes.

 

When I was there in 2005 we heard the local Police Chief threatened to arrest or cite anyone who flashed. Some residents were actually upset because of the revenue they would lose if people stopped coming to town. Don't know if he was let loose or not.

 

I was out in Huelett in 09 like others have said and my experience..... it was NOT as advertised. It was a OK stop in a day trip to devils tower but dont ride out expecting wild and crazy gals barely covered cause you will be DISAPPOINTED

 

I plan on going this year and hope the burnouts and wet t-shirt contest are worth it. I talked the other guys that are going with me into going. If there is not a good show I will never hear the end of it (one of the guys going with me is kinda an ***).

 

Make sure you stop at the Stonehouse Saloon up the road a ways. They will have a band out back and a great place to sit and have a bite to eat and some drink. Good prices as well. Now here is where you are going to see some good sights.

Unless it has changed (haven't gone the last few years) the ROT rally in Austin, TX is a good place for this. Last time there the only restriction was you had to keep you pants on, but those that didn't only got a warning.
