I've heard the area is beautiful. Club was supposed to go last year but the trip was canceled.

Book rooms in advance. There always seems something going on there and rooms fill up fast. I would book, at the Canyon Motel, Sherwood Motel, or the Pennwood lodge. NOT PENNWOOD HOTEL. There is a difference and you won't like me if you go to the motel. Rt 6 west of wellsboro is a good ride, wasn't too impressed east of wellsboro. Coming into town try to incorprate Rt120, and rts 44. Geezer Glide is a regular member here and is from the area, and is a wealth of information look him up.

Not sure how you are heading up, but Bill's Bike Barn is in Bloomsburg and is pretty cool. We've stayed in Coudersport at the Sweden Valley Cabins twice in the past. It was close to, within walking distance of the Sweden Valley Inn (note: the Sweden Valley Inn was closed last year when we were up there). The Cabins are pretty small, but we were just looking for a place to sleep overnight. It's a beautiful area. Also look up the Kinzua Dam and Kinzua Bridge. The Dam was impressive, we didn't get to see the bridge, but that's another reason to head up there. Like bruce sg08 said, Geezr Glidr is a local up there and gives awesome suggestions/directions. Have fun!

Thanks Bruce and XSarge.........Sent a PM to the local G-Gldr early this morning, havent heard back yet, anyway, did the google thing and jotted down a few motels and now trying to figure our routes going up to Wellsboro....most likely 15 north thru selingsgrove into williamsport and then 15N to 6.....Thanks for the feedback, seems like a killer ride in and around the area......Cant wait to ride again, spring is near. Best D

Just an FYI,
If you are going around the middle of July and have the time there is a really nice dice run/ride that supports kids with cancer that is only about 90 miles west of wellsboro. http://www.kidsandcancerbenefitrun.com/index.htm

One year we did the Kids & Carcer Run one day and the Grand Canyon of PA the next, attached is a Pic taken at the Grand Canyon of PA.

Instead of 15N to 6, take Rt 44 at Allenwood Pa which is just north of I80, and follow it to Rt144 up to 6 and east to Wellsboro, if that is where your grand canyon tour starts. Watch the roads in early spring as winter potholes and trees branches on the road are the norm up there. Enjoy

Just a heads up, Thanks to the gas well drilling rooms are scarce, roads are getting beat up and are almost always dirt coverd and really slick when wet.but it is still the most scenic area in northern PA. Enjoy

I am not a member of your hog club, but am really interested in riding this ride if the weekend is right. Are non-members allowed to ride in your HOG events?
