Get down to Hwy 57 out of Macon, scoot down it to Swainsboro, catch US 80 through Statesboro. About 20 miles southeast of Statesboro, turn east on Hwy 119, follow it to Springfield, turn south on Hwy 21. Just before Savannah there is a road that swings off to the left to Garden City, then crosses the Savannah River into S. Carolina. The road in S. Carolina is Hwy 170; follow it to Hwy 46 near Pritchardville, then follow Hwy 46 to US 278, and US 278 on into Hilton Head.
