Custer has a good restaurant down near the south end of the strip, but I couldn't tell you the name of it. LOL
I found out that Buffolo meat is tough and not something I'll ever eat again. LOL

I agree with Softail Chica, (All the vender food was tasty).

You're not going to find much high quality food in Sturgis itslef, mostly vendor and bar food. Still good, just nothing spectacular. If you want to hit a 5 star restaurant, the only one in the state is in Deadwood and owned by Kevin Costner. I don't recall the name and have never been, but heard about it. Lot's of restaurants in Rapid City.

Not much in Sturgis, but about anything you can think of in Rapid City. Deadwood has a couple of local restaurants that are pretty good, but they will all be busy. There is a pretty good hamburger type joint in Hill City that has decent food and the local high school cheerleaders do a bike wash in the parking lot, you know short shorts, bikini tops, just had to get my bike washed. Every place will be unbelievably crowded. Bike week is their Christmas.

Not really a lot of fine cusine in Sturgis. Some of the best food we had was sharing a cold beer with pot luck around the Campfire out to Glencoe .... and the prices that some of restaurants got was outrageous. Good time to go on a diet?

Two must-visits on every trip.

1. Shoot The Bull Steakhouse in Spearfish. Reasonable and biker friendly during the rally, great steaks. You can walk in hot, burned and sweaty after a day of riding and nobody will give you a second look and the waitress will be friendly. I usually plan my Spearfish Canyon day so that I'm coming through town late in the afternoon.

2. Elk Creek Steakhouse, just off the Elk Creek exit, I-90 between Sturgis and Rapid City.

And for mass quantities of grub, there's Golden Corral in Rapid City. That's especially good for the sissies who want something besides steak. Like vegetables.

I don't eat when in Sturgis, there are better places and cheaper as well in the hills.

Fire hall for breakfast in Nemo is always good during the rally. (Get there early)

Good burger's at the sugar shack on 385 at Rochford Rd. (open year round)

Alpine Inn in Hill City isnt bad as well. (Good Filet Mignon)
