Street vibrations
Hey ya'll, the last couple of years we have been going to Vegas Bike fest and thought we would change it up this year and try street vibrations in Reno. Could anybody give me the good and bad of Street vibrations? I've been reading up on what I can find on it and it sounds as though they changed it and people aren't so happy with it? Thanks for any info.

Been going for years
Street Vibes is a good run. We leave on a Thursday to get up there before all the traffic. It's only a 4 hour drive by car up the highway, or on the bikes through Hwy 49 and 88 through Lake Tahoe area it will take you about 7 hours from Merced, CA area. Well worth it if you like the scenic twisty route.
Last year Street Vibes sucked. For whatever reason roadshows did not get the approval to have it down in Reno's Virginia Street. The road was closed off and bikes could park along the Casinos, but no vendors. They were all in Sparks...a few miles away. I talked to both the City of Reno and http://www.road-shows.com/street_vibrations.php and they said it will be back downtown this year. I hope so as this is a tradition for our group. After last year we were debating on going. We are going to give it another try. If you do go, remember Friday and Saturday nights I think at 8pm there is a wet t-shirt contest at Sands. And depending on what type of crowd you like, West 2nd bar is the place to be after that.
