I know this isn't a NASCAR forum but was wondering if anyone else rides to any of the races. My son and I are leaving out Saturday morning for Talladega, AL from Clarksville, TN. This is only about 300 miles. We'll probably camp amongst the masses. Just wondering if anyone else is going.

Wife and I was at the Daytona 500 last year, our first Nascar race ever and we had a blast, not on my bike though. Oh, I have 2 or 3 short vids of it on my YouTube Curt8153

Wife and I have gone the last three years. The race was very BORING last year due to the "no bumping rule". This year they have been told to "go at it" so, it should be better.

With the economy the way it is, you should have NO problem finding tickets and a place to camp.

Would love to hit it, but too far away. We do the spring race in Vegas. The son-in-law gets us free tickets.

I'm heading to Phoenix for some riding and the race, FIL parks his motorhome near the entrance to turn 3 every year. Gotta cost him a fortune, but it's nice to sit on the roof and drink a few beers in the sun one last time before coming back to Michigan for the winter. Always wanted to check out Talladega though, looks like a good time.

Went to the July race at Daytona this year. Almost took the bike but changed our minds at the last minute, and was I glad I wasn't on 2 wheels down there. Parking is a couple of miles from the track and you have to take shuttle busses. No way I'd have left my bike in the middle of a field.

I used to be a fan, sort of, NASCAR but the last few years they have taken the racing out of it.
All cars close to the same, seems the same few aways win, not a real championship with the cut off during the season and limiting the "CHASE" to 10 drivers.

We had a blast. When you go to Talladega, you go for the party and stay for the race. Great ride down and back. Over 700 miles round trip. Very blessed to be able to ride with my son while I still can. We'll be going back for the spring race in April and the wife will probably be riding her bike (dyna low) as well. My daughter also rides her own 1200 Low.
